WHY GRAPES AND WINE?
For many years, Donna's work was primarily abstract.
One early autumn day, as she was reclining on a terrace
with a view overlooking the Dordogne, she was enchanted
by a cluster of grapes hanging from a trellis overhead,
and illuminated by a ray of sunlight.
The inspiration was immediate and Donna found
she could express many of her artistic aspirations through
the representation of grapes: the search for beauty and poetry,
communicated through gesture, color, light and form.
As an Epicurean, she loves grapes both for their flavor
and some of the vintage wines that they yield.
POURQUOI LES RAISINS ET LE VIN?
Pendant des années, Donna n'a fait que de
la peinture abstrait. Un jour qu'elle
se reposait sur une terrasse avec vu sur la Dordogne,
elle fut éblouie par la beauté d'une grappe de raisins
illuminée par un rayon de soleil et qui pendait à un
treillis, juste au-dessus d'elle.
Depuis ce jour elle trouve toutes ses aspirations
artistiques dans la representation des raisins :
la recherche de la beauté, de la lumière et de l'originalité.
Epicurienne de nature, elle apprecie beucoup
ce fruit pour son goût et ses grands crus.
